Sparkler was my first pony. My grandfather brought it to me when I was 3 years old living in Venezuela. I loved Sparkler. It was the first toy I had that matched with all the things I liked. I was never really a Barbie kind of person, even though I still owned some and played with them, I always preferred to play with Sparkler... I never had PB&J sandwiches when I was little (not popular in South America), but I like to think that 3 year old Lilita would have loved to eat them for breakfast.

Princess Royal Blue
I haven't had real time to dedicate to still life painting in a while, and I really miss using gouache. So this last Friday, I found a little window and made this little quickie of Princess Royal Blue... and it felt sooooooooo good.

Past, Present, Future
Rumination keeps us stuck wishing the past was different and constantly worrying about whats to come in the future. No matter how many times you go over what has happened, things will remain as they are, and no matter how many what ifs you can think about you will not be able to have a perfect plan. All it does is keeping us from being present and enjoying the now.

All Work and No Play
It's been a while since I've been able to paint clouds. Time is a luxury for me as I now have three jobs: I work Monday to Friday with case-goods design for hospitality, I teach art Saturday and Sunday, and I do freelance on the side when I get home from those jobs. It took me a couple of months just to finish this little digi-painting. It's been hard, but those student loans gotta get paid...
